This 6-month interim position involves key responsibilities in financial processes during a time of organizational change. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining operations and supporting the finance team. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with office attendance required two days a week in Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing service charge actuals and playing a key role in the external audit process
- Resolving resident queries related to rents and service charges with efficiency and professionalism
- Providing vital support to the wider finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Assisting the annual rent setting process and collaborating with the housing team
Key Skills:
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in rent and service charge accounting
- In-depth knowledge of housing regulations, rent setting practices, and service charge management
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-driven attitude and a passion for delivering results
- Ideally experience within social housing, however, commercial service charges experience or local authority service charges experience will still be valuable
