Summary: The Interim Rent Accountant will collaborate with senior management to accurately calculate rent reviews and service charges in accordance with established standards. This role involves producing management reports and assisting with monthly management accounts while contributing to budget holder meetings. The successful candidate will have experience in social housing and rent setting, along with strong Excel skills. The position requires on-site work one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for calculating rents accurately and correctly in line with the Rent Standard
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Association's Rent Model and calculating annual rent uplift
  • Produce management information reports from the rent accounting system in accordance with management requirements
  • Calculate and reconcile service charge budgets and analyse any variances
  • Contribute to frequent budget holder meetings and prepare monthly management accounts

Key Skills:

  • Experienced within social housing
  • Experienced with rent setting and service charge accounting
  • Part-qualified/actively studying (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
  • Strong Excel and systems knowledge

Role:
