Summary: The Interim Project Accountant role at a fast-growing FMCG business involves supporting corporate finance initiatives, financial analysis, and project-based accounting. Reporting to the Group FD, the position requires expertise in financial modelling, reporting, and ensuring data integrity across strategic projects and M&A activities. The successful candidate will leverage their financial planning and analysis skills to drive operational efficiencies and support decision-making processes. A hybrid working model is in place, requiring office attendance three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement performance analysis improvements across the Group.
• Create management reports using BI reporting tools to drive decision making.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews of new reports for stakeholder usage.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for operational efficiencies and cost optimization.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis for special projects and corporate initiatives.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for corporate finance initiatives.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and investment appraisals.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation in financial reporting.
• Analyze three years of performance data to identify key financial drivers.
• Assist in financial due diligence and valuation analysis for M&A transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal policies.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess financial impacts of business decisions.

Key Skills:

• Professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
