Summary: The Interim Project Accountant - Fixed Assets role involves managing the fixed asset register and supporting a reconciliation project following an Oracle Fusion implementation. The position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in the Birmingham office, and seeks a qualified accountant with experience in fixed asset accounting. The role includes collaboration with internal teams to enhance asset management processes and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards. This is a temporary assignment lasting 2-3 months with a focus on making a significant impact on financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a comprehensive reconciliation of physical assets to the ledger.
- Analysing discrepancies and calculating necessary adjustments.
- Maintaining accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve fixed asset tracking and reporting.
- Providing insights and recommendations to optimise asset management.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA Qualified.
- Experience in fixed asset accounting, including reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and asset management principles.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user.
- Experience with Oracle (desirable but not essential).
- Able to work independently and within a project-focused team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
