Summary: The role of Interim Product Legal Counsel focuses on supporting the expansion of a global technology platform's e-commerce business across Europe. The position involves advising on compliance with digital and consumer regulations while collaborating with various stakeholders on product launches. The successful candidate will manage legal requests and provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment. This is a 6-month contract based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing new product features and business initiatives for compliance with EU and UK regulatory requirements.
- Advising product, engineering and commercial teams on legal risk and practical implementation.
- Supporting launches into new European markets and coordinating multi-jurisdictional legal reviews.
- Drafting, reviewing and updating online terms and conditions across various jurisdictions.
- Advising on digital regulation, consumer protection, pricing compliance and AI-related product features.
- Managing a high volume of legal requests across multiple business workstreams.
- Collaborating with specialist privacy, IP, competition and regulatory teams.
Key Skills:
- UK or EU qualification.
- Experience within a technology, digital, TMT, e-commerce or product legal environment.
- A strong understanding of EU and UK digital regulation and consumer law.
- Exposure to areas such as the DSA, DMA, DMCCA, platform regulation, online marketplaces, pricing compliance and/or AI-related regulation.
- Experience advising product and engineering teams on the launch or development of technology products.
- The ability to translate complex legal issues into practical, commercial advice.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A leading global technology platform is seeking an interim Product Legal Counsel to support the expansion of its rapidly growing e-commerce business across multiple European markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Product Legal team at the centre of major international product launches, working closely with product, engineering and commercial stakeholders on cutting-edge digital, consumer protection and AI-related issues.
The Role
You will support the rollout of new products and features across the UK and Europe, advising on compliance with evolving digital and consumer regulations while helping the business launch and scale new offerings in multiple jurisdictions.
