Summary: Cedar is seeking an Interim Procurement Systems Data Analyst for a Local Authority in the Midlands on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is primarily home-based but requires on-site visits 2-4 days per month. The position operates inside IR35 and offers a day rate between £450 and £500. The successful candidate will enhance procurement, contract, and spend data usage to improve efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monitoring of compliance to drive commercial performance.
  • Maintain the contracts database and procurement pipeline.
  • Develop a Procurement Pipeline and Contract Register.
  • Utilize InTend, Excel, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Optimize systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and performance.

  • Experience in a similar role within the UK Public Sector marketplace.
  • Strong background in using Procurement systems for implementing procedures and reporting.
  • Experience with data entry, migration, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Desirable experience using InTend.

Detailed Description From Employer:

Cedar are supporting a Local Authority, based in the Midlands, who are looking to hire an Interim Procurement Systems Data Analyst on an initial 6-month contract (potential to extend). This role will operate INSIDE IR35, offering a Day Rate from £450 up to £500. This role will primarily be Home Based but will require on-site visits c2-4 days per month for key meetings.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and improve how the Authority uses procurement, contract and spend data, and optimise systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and performance. The successful candidate will support the monitoring of compliance to drive commercial performance and ensure the contracts database and procurement pipeline are maintained, enabling compliance with Local Government transparency code and the Procurement Act – a key priority is developing a Procurement Pipeline and Contract Register. The successful candidate will be required to use InTend, Excel and Power Bi, to help better utilise data and systems to deliver better commercial decision making.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace
  • Strong background using Procurement systems to implement system procedures and reporting requirements
  • Experience with data entry, data migration and ensuring data is accurate and up to date
  • Experience using InTend would be desirable
