Summary: The Interim Procurement Officer will manage and oversee the full procurement process for four key projects within a Not-for-Profit organization over a three-month period. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, preparing contracts, and ensuring smooth hand-over to Contract Managers. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to established procurement frameworks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing procurement efficiency and effectiveness in the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the relevant Contract Managers
- Oversee and manage the procurement process
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals
- Work within established frameworks such as Crown Commercial Services, Procurement Partnership Limited, ESPO, and evaluate potential framework offerings for the projects
- Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Forecast trends and market conditions for future projects
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations
Key Skills:
- A solid understanding of procurement processes and contract management
- Experience in a similar procurement position
- Public sector or Not-for-Profit experience is essential
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to analyse data and make decisions
- Knowledge of procurement software and databases
- Excellent organisational skills
