Summary: The Interim Procurement Officer role is focused on enhancing procurement capabilities within a leading public sector education institution in Greater London. The position involves leading procurement processes across various categories while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment during a transformative phase for the university. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support full end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, supplier management, and contract negotiations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the university, including senior leaders and department heads
- Run competitive tenders and lead on procurement specifications, including Framework Agreements
- Help create and deliver category plans aligned to long-term goals
Key Skills:
- Experience managing indirect procurement categories
- Proven track record of delivering value through compliant, strategic procurement
- Solid understanding of public sector procurement regulations (PCR2015, OJEU, UCR, Procurement Act etc.)
- CIPS qualification is a plus, but not essential
