About Interim Principal Finance Manager (x2) - Public Sector North West | Hybrid (1 day/week on-site) (DOE, Inside IR35) 3-6 months initially | Immediate start

We're working with a progressive public sector organisation in the North West seeking two interim Principal Finance Manager to support the team during a period of transition and recruitment of permanent staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with strong budget monitoring and financial analysis experience, who are confident working with complex spreadsheets and partnering across services to influence decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting budget holders across services with in-year monitoring and forecasting
  • Providing insightful financial analysis to aid key operational and strategic decisions
  • Assisting with ongoing project work and change initiatives
  • Collaborating closely with the wider finance team and non-finance stakeholders

About You

  • Proven experience in a local authority or broader public sector finance role is desirable
