Interim Primary Deputy Head Teacher

The Role

As an Interim Primary Leader, you will work closely with Headteachers, Trust Leaders, staff, and governors to support the effective day-to-day leadership and strategic direction of the school. Opportunities may include:

  • Leading teaching and learning across the school
  • Driving school improvement priorities
  • Supporting curriculum development and assessment
  • Managing safeguarding and pastoral responsibilities
  • Coaching and developing teaching staff
  • Leading on behaviour, attendance, and inclusion initiatives
  • Supporting Ofsted preparation and improvement planning
  • Acting as Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, or undertaking additional leadership responsibilities as required

The Ideal Candidate: We are keen to hear from experienced:

  • Deputy Headteachers
  • Assistant Headteachers
  • Current or recently serving Senior Leaders within primary education
  • Leaders with a proven track record of school improvement

You will possess:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent experience within a primary school senior leadership position

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

The ability to quickly build credibility and positive relationships

A flexible and solutions-focused approach

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
