Summary: The Interim Platform Deal Support role is focused on assisting a private equity-backed platform in executing a roll-up strategy within the environmental, agrifood, and infrastructure laboratory testing sector in Italy. The position involves supporting transaction execution and commercial planning initiatives during a critical phase of multiple acquisitions. The candidate will work closely with management teams and investors, contributing to due diligence, financing processes, and operational strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain integrated financial and operational models across multiple acquisition targets
- Support management with operational due diligence, commercial analysis, and business planning activities
- Prepare investment committee materials and transaction documentation for investors and lenders
- Assist with acquisition execution across a phased buy-and-build process
- Work closely with management teams, advisors, and investors throughout the deal lifecycle
- Coordinate information gathering and analysis across multiple founder-led businesses
- Support financing workstreams and investor reporting requirements
- Identify operational risks, synergies, and value creation opportunities across the platform
Key Skills:
- Strong background in investment banking, transaction services, or private equity
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability, ideally within M&A or buy-and-build environments
- Experience supporting operational due diligence and strategic business planning processes
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, entrepreneurial transaction environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across investors, management teams, and advisors
- Experience drafting investment committee materials and transaction presentations
- Prior exposure to cross-border transactions and founder-led businesses is advantageous
- Italian language skills are beneficial but not essential
- Experience within private equity-backed environments highly desirable
