Summary: The role of Interim Payroll Officer involves managing payroll processes for a business in south Manchester, ensuring timely and accurate payroll operations. Key responsibilities include processing new starters and leavers, managing payrolls, and handling various HR administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Managing both weekly and monthly payrolls
- Processing weekly and monthly timesheets
- Processing expense claims
- Managing CSA and Attachment of Earnings
- Handling SSP, SPP, SAP, etc.
- Producing reports for the finance team
- Completing payroll journals
- Managing pension administration and ensuring accurate payments
- Processing RTI and Auto Enrolment
- Supporting year-end duties such as P60s
- Working on continuous improvement initiatives and critical projects
Key Skills:
- Experience working on large payrolls, ideally across multiple sites
- Ability to carry out manual calculations
- Current knowledge of payroll legislation
- Strong payroll systems knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Relevant payroll qualifications are advantageous
