Summary: The role of Interim NetSuite Consultant involves optimizing finance systems, particularly focusing on NetSuite as the core ERP, for a rapidly scaling technology company preparing for an IPO. The consultant will lead automation initiatives, improve workflows, and enhance system integrations while acting as a liaison between finance and technology. This position is critical for the organization’s growth and efficiency improvements. The contract is for an initial six months with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of optimising the finance systems landscape, with NetSuite as the core ERP.
- Review, enhance, and streamline system integrations across billing, expenses, procurement, payments, and reporting tools.
- Lead automation initiatives to remove manual processes and improve efficiency across finance operations.
- Improve AR and AP workflows, including invoice controls, credit processes, supplier payments, and automated communications.
- Design and implement automated solutions for recharges, prepayments, accruals, and deferred revenue.
- Define and improve intercompany accounting structures, transaction flows, and eliminations.
- Ensure financial reporting from NetSuite aligns cleanly with planning and performance tools.
- Review and optimise system governance, including user access, roles, and controls.
- Build and enhance custom system reports to support financial analysis and decision-making.
- Act as a key finance systems SME, partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders on process improvement.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, ideally within a complex or scaling environment.
- Solid grounding in finance and accounting processes, with the ability to translate requirements into system solutions.
- Proven experience improving or implementing finance system integrations and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to data integrity and controls.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience delivering system or process improvement projects in fast-paced environments.
- Additional experience with Abacum (bonus).
- Experience working in a VC/PE Backed Business (bonus).

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, international business in their search for an experienced Interim NetSuite Consultant/Systems Accountant on a 6 month contract basis (Outside IR35). If all goes well, there could be the possibility of extension. The organisation is a rapidly scaling technology company on a journey towards IPO, so this is a critical position. They have an established finance tech stack but is looking to significantly improve how systems are utilised, automated, and scaled as the business continues to evolve. This role will suit someone with deep NetSuite expertise who enjoys driving automation, optimising integrations, and acting as the bridge between finance and technology.
