Summary: The Interim Marketing Consultant role is focused on providing strategic leadership in marketing during a critical phase of business evolution within the energy and utilities sector. The consultant will onboard a new marketing agency, establish foundational marketing resources, and develop campaigns to support the company's rebranding efforts. Key Deliverables
- Onboard and Set Up New Agency: Lead the operational set-up and integration of a new marketing agency for the business.
- Establish Foundational Marketing Resources: Build a structured content library and photo library to support client-facing teams and sales.
- Develop and Execute Campaigns: Create and deliver marketing campaigns, with a focus on brand and content marketing.
- Support Business Evolution: Provide strategic partnering and fresh thinking to address the complexity of the energy market and the business’s current challenges.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Corporate Affairs and internal comms, to ensure alignment and effective messaging.
- Sector Expertise: Offer advice and guidance across the energy market, leveraging deep knowledge of smart metering and energy transition.
- Operational Effectiveness: Ensure marketing activities are operationally effective and tailored to the business’s urgent needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: Proven track record in the energy/utilities sector, either client-side or agency-side, with a mix of both preferred.
Skills: Strong brand and content marketing expertise; ability to diagnose marketing needs and offer a range of solutions.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of the utilities sector, energy transition, and how businesses finance the transition.
Approach: Hungry for impact; able to leave a strong impression in a short period.
Collaboration: Operationally effective, comfortable working in a dynamic environment, and able to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
B2B and Partnerships: Experience in B2B marketing and building partnerships.
Project Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead marketing projects with specific deliverables, but not managing a team directly.
