Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Sheffield, focusing on producing accurate management accounts and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Producing detailed variance analysis and discussing results with site managers
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and posting monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Preparing regular cashflow forecasts and assisting with audit requirements
- Reviewing aged debtors and creditors, resolving queries and improving reporting accuracy
- Delivering ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support decision making
Key Skills:
- Proven experience preparing full monthly management accounts in line with deadlines
- Fully Qualified Accountant or QBE or fully qualified accountant - able to hit the ground running
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach
- Experience using Sage 200 and working in a multi-site organisation (desirable)

The Role
