Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis
  • Preparation of consolidated accounts across multiple entities
  • Cash flow forecasting and support with budgeting
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors
  • Producing accurate and timely reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Supporting margin and stock analysis
  • Ad hoc financial projects and reporting as required
  • Driving process improvements in reporting and controls

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Experienced in producing management accounts, ideally within an SME or multi-entity business
  • Strong with systems and Excel
  • Commercially minded with good communication skills
  • Able to start immediately and commit to a site-based role

About The Opportunity

An established, family-owned business in Rotherham is looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly-created role to support the Finance Director. With an immediate start required, this is an urgent hire offering the opportunity to step into a hands-on, commercially-focused role with the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate. This is a full-time, site-based role and would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit in a growing SME environment where they can make a real impact from day one.

The Role Responsibilities

This is a varied and engaging role that will see you working closely with the Finance Director and wider business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis
  • Preparation of consolidated accounts across multiple entities
  • Cash flow forecasting and support with budgeting
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors
  • Producing accurate and timely reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Supporting margin and stock analysis
  • Ad hoc financial projects and reporting as required
  • Driving process improvements in reporting and controls

Youll be part of a close-knit finance team, and your input will directly support the leadership team in decision-making and performance tracking.

Whats On Offer

Salary between £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
