Summary: The role of Interim Management Accountant involves providing maternity cover for a UK-based technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of management accounting, reporting directly to the CFO, and will work in a hybrid environment. This position requires a qualified accountant who can deliver results in a fast-paced, commercially focused setting. Key responsibilities include preparing management accounts, board reporting, and supporting the CFO with various financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Group Management Accounts, including detailed commercial analysis
- Preparation of draft monthly Board reporting
- Calculation and posting of key supplier accruals, deferred income and prepayments
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of VAT returns and corporation tax analysis
- Cashflow forecasting
- Supporting the CFO with the adoption of AI tools
- Acting as a key stakeholder in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors
- General finance duties, including supporting wider Group finance activities and ad-hoc transactional support
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Pro-active and motivated individual with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to plan, prioritise and perform effectively under pressure
- Confident working within a team-based environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- AI skills desirable

The Role: Reporting directly into the CFO, this role will cover all aspects of Management Accounting and will sit within a collaborative finance function encompassing Accounting, Transactional Finance, Legal and Compliance.
