Summary: The Interim Management Accountant will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis to support business decisions within the business services industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
- Lead year-round and month-end financial processes to ensure timely close
- Take ownership of the balance sheet and ensure accurate reconciliations
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including cashflow and controls
- Identify and implement improvements to systems and financial processes
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and support decision-making
- Prepare and present reports for the Board and external stakeholders
- Support the year-end audit process and respond to audit queries
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support operational and client needs
- Work with FP&A and senior finance to provide detailed transactional insight
- Manage banking platforms and supplier relationships
- Oversee, train, and support the finance team to drive efficiency

Profile
The successful Interim Management Accountant should have:
- Proven experience in a similar accountancy role
- Previous business partnering experience will be beneficial but above all you will be a confident and articulate individual, both in person and through your reporting.
- You will be able to explain financial performance and financial issues that arise clearly, both to other finance and non-finance colleagues
- Be flexible and adaptable to a challenging and changing business environment.
- Be able to take initiative and work autonomously if needed and be a team player that can assist others when required.
- Have excellent attention to detail and ability to investigate problem areas.
- Have good time management and organisational skills in planning your own work.
- Sage experience (desirable) and strong excel skills (essential).
- Have experience working within a small team.
