The role
Working as part of an established finance function, you will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful financial information across a diverse organisation focused on delivering positive outcomes for residents and communities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Supporting the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning processes.
- Working closely with stakeholders across housing, property, customer and corporate services to support informed decision-making.
- Providing financial analysis and insight to senior leaders, helping to balance financial performance with organisational priorities and customer outcomes.
- Supporting financial planning and modelling for business initiatives, investment decisions and service improvements.
- Developing management information, reporting and dashboards to support both operational and strategic objectives.
- Reviewing financial performance and identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
- Supporting the development of business cases and financial appraisals.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting.
About you
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong management accounting and analytical skills.
You will be comfortable working with stakeholders outside finance and able to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insight.
You will enjoy building relationships, influencing decision-making and understanding the broader factors that drive performance within a purpose-led organisation.
You should combine strong technical accounting skills with curiosity, sound judgement and a genuine interest in how finance can support the delivery of high-quality services and lasting social impact.
