Summary: The role of Interim Legal Counsel involves joining a global consulting firm for an initial six-month contract with the possibility of extension. Based in central London, the position offers hybrid working arrangements and requires a mid-senior level lawyer with expertise in commercial contracts, employment, and data privacy. The successful candidate will be part of a busy in-house legal team, handling a variety of legal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, letters of engagement, MSAs, and transaction documents.
- Supporting on contractual disputes.
- Assisting with major corporate transactions, including global strategic projects and M&A.
- Advising on employment matters, including settlement agreements and employee-related issues.
- Supporting on data privacy matters, including DSARs, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating closely with the wider legal and compliance team on BAU and project work.
Key Skills:
- At least 3 years PQE.
- Experience in a respected corporate/commercial private practice or in-house environment.
- Strong technical drafting skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced team.

We are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join a global consulting firm on an initial six-month contract, starting in January, with potential to extend. The role is central London based with hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 remote) and offers a competitive day rate (inside IR35). This is a broad corporate and commercial role, well suited to a mid-senior level lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracts, employment, and data privacy. As part of a busy in-house legal team, responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, from NDAs and letters of engagement through to MSAs and transaction documents.
- Supporting on contractual disputes.
- Assisting with major corporate transactions, including global strategic projects and M&A.
- Advising on employment matters, including settlement agreements and employee-related issues.
- Supporting on data privacy matters, including DSARs, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating closely with the wider legal and compliance team on BAU and project work.
