Summary: The role of Interim Legal Counsel involves providing maternity cover for an international private equity fund, working closely with the General Counsel and investment team. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on a wide range of regulatory issues, including AIFMD, MiFID II, SFDR, and AMF obligations.
- Support on the marketing and distribution of funds.
- Work with investment and compliance teams on the interpretation and implementation of new regulatory developments.
- Provide legal support on fund structuring, governance, and investor documentation.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulators as needed, ensuring efficient and pragmatic handling of complex cross-border issues.
- Assist with corporate and transactional matters on an ad hoc basis, including portfolio company governance and internal structuring.
Key Skills:
- Qualified lawyer with 3–10 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in house within a private equity / asset management environment.
- Strong technical grounding in either Funds (formation, marketing, regulatory compliance) or Financial regulation (AIFMD, MiFID II, AMF requirements).
- French language skills highly advantageous but not essential.
- Immediate availability is essential.
