Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on data protection and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements and related legal documentation.
  • Support the organisation in responding to data subject access requests and regulatory inquiries.
  • Monitor changes in data protection laws and advise on their impact on business operations.
  • Conduct training sessions to promote awareness of data protection requirements across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection best practices.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors as required.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to data protection.

Key Skills:

  • Proven expertise in data protection laws, including GDPR and other relevant legislation.
  • International exposure would be a real advantage.
  • Must be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales holding practising certificate.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents within the Technology sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information.
  • Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders at all levels effectively.
  • A legal qualification or equivalent professional certification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies and procedures in the UK.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of professional ethics and integrity.
