Summary: The Interim Internal Audit Manager role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on delivering high-quality assurance in Conduct Risk, Operational Effectiveness, and Regulatory Compliance. The position requires collaboration with various teams to maintain a robust control environment and meet regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will have proven internal audit experience and strong analytical skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end internal audits across Conduct and Operations themes, from planning through to reporting.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of controls relating to customer outcomes, SMCR, operational resilience, and complaints management.
- Identify key risks and provide practical, risk-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to thematic reviews and continuous improvement within the audit methodology.
- Work collaboratively with first and second-line teams to support strong governance and control culture.
Key Skills:
- Proven internal audit experience, ideally with exposure to conduct, operations, or compliance reviews.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, IIA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Immediately available or short notice advantageous.
