Summary: The role of HR Advisor involves supporting a global manufacturing business in Leeds on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. This position is ideal for HR Coordinators or Assistants looking to advance into an advisory role, covering various HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, and policy development. Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding new starters by coordinating their welcome process, preparing documents, arranging inductions and conducting right to work checks
- Act as the first point of contact for the HR Team for employee related issues such as flexible working requests
- Coach and advise managers on ER related matters around absence, performance, investigations and disciplinaries
- Support the Head of HR to create, update and implement HR policies and procedures
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment, including arranging interviews, drafting job descriptions and CV sifting
- Utilise HR data to inform decisions and produce clear, insightful reports on key people metrics
- Support with the upskilling of managers by identifying skills gap and booking onto relevant training
Key Skills:
- 1-2 years experience working in HR
- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification
- Strong understanding of HR processes and employee relations
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to analyse HR data and produce reports
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Reporting into the Head of HR, this is a truly generalist role covering a maternity cover and will be responsible for all aspects of HR including onboarding, offboarding, policy development, employee relations, payroll and recruitment.

We are looking for someone who can commit to a 12 month fixed term contract and enjoys the variety of working in a fast-paced, generalist role. The ideal candidate will have atleast 1-2 years experience working in HR and be CIPD qualified or working towards this.
