I am working with an ambitious local government organisation in Bedfordshire who is embarking on an exciting transformation journey and is looking for an experienced Interim HR Transformation Consultant to join them on a day-rate basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the development of a newly created Commissioning & Brokerage department, playing a key role in designing the workforce of the future and delivering a range of strategic HR projects.
This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives, helping to build strong foundations for this exciting new service area.
The Interim HR Transformation Consultant role will be on a day-rate basis, paying £650-£800 per day (Inside of IR35). The successful candidate to attend the Bedford office 1-2 days per week, with the remainder of the time working remotely.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading workforce planning activity to support the successful establishment and growth of the new Commissioning & Brokerage department.
- Delivering job evaluation exercises using the Hay Job Evaluation methodology, ensuring roles are appropriately evaluated and aligned to organisational structures.
- Managing a range of HR projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring objectives are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Supporting organisational change and transformation programmes, providing expert HR advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Working collaboratively with senior leaders and key stakeholders to develop effective people solutions that support business objectives.
- Providing advice on organisational design, role structures and workforce planning to ensure the department is fit for the future.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation to support the successful delivery of key HR initiatives and transformation projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a proven background in HR project management, workforce planning and HR transformation. You will have practical experience of the Hay Job Evaluation system, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Previous experience within the public sector or local government would be advantageous.
