Summary: The Interim HR Business Partner will play a crucial role in supporting the HR strategy and policies for a leading client over a 6-month contract. Reporting to the HR Director, the position involves both strategic and operational responsibilities, including policy implementation, budget creation, and change management. The role also includes mentoring junior HR team members and providing guidance on complex employee relations issues. The ideal candidate should possess strong HR experience, particularly in small to medium-sized businesses, and have a solid understanding of employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work strategically and operationally in a business partnering capacity to provide high-level HR support.
- Implement and deliver end-to-end HR policies.
- Support the HR Director in budget creation and refining the HR strategy.
- Support change management and organizational development projects.
- Ensure HR compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Provide support and guidance to managers on complex employee relations issues.
- Equip managers with skills to coach their teams for high performance and ongoing development.
- Use data to analyze decisions on strategic approaches to challenges.
- Support the HR Director with upcoming HR projects.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the HR team.
Key Skills:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable HR experience in small to medium-sized businesses.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong communication and business partnering skills.
- Commercially minded.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (desired but not essential).
- Current knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience in training, coaching, and influencing managers.
