Summary: The Interim Health and Safety Consultant role involves shaping safety culture within a major London transport operation. The position requires close collaboration with operational teams to enhance health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The consultant will report to the Head of Health and Safety and will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and ensuring legal compliance across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent Health and Safety advice across operational sites.
  • Deliver audits, inspections, risk assessments and safety assurance activities.
  • Support ISO management systems including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
  • Work closely with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture.
  • Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee contractor safety, CDM responsibilities and RAMS reviews.
  • Support incident investigations and continuous improvement activities.

Key Skills:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong operational Health and Safety experience within complex or multi-site environments.
  • Experience conducting audits and developing Health and Safety processes.
  • Confidence in influencing stakeholders and driving cultural change.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Salary (Rate): £450 daily

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Health and Safety Consultant to join a leading London transport operator, supporting the development of health, safety, environmental and quality arrangements across its operations.

Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this is a highly operational role where you will work closely with garage teams, project stakeholders and senior leaders to drive continuous improvement, ensure legal compliance and strengthen safety culture across multiple sites.
