Summary: The role of Health and Safety Consultant involves providing professional support across various services for a local authority, focusing on occupational health and safety management systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health and safety support across Parks/Environmental Management, Harbours/Docks, and Corporate Services.
- Communicate, consult, and maintain occupational health and safety management systems.
- Monitor compliance to prevent occupational injury and ill health.
- Improve performance, culture, and participation in health and safety practices.
Key Skills:
- Experience in health and safety, preferably in the public sector.
- NEBOSH National Diploma / Level 6 Certification.
- Strong communication and consultation skills.
- Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
