Interim Head of Treasury and Pensions

About the Role

Your statutory responsibility would be to act as the authority’s designated Senior LGPS Officer in line with statutory fund governance guidance, holding operational and strategic accountability for the management, delivery, and compliance of the Pension Fund.

You will be leading the team responsible for investment strategy, pension fund accounting, cash management and the improvement to financial processes and systems.

• You will ensure the fund complies with all Local Government Pension Scheme regulations and The Pensions Regulator (TPR) General Code of Practice.
• You will oversee the creation, review, and implementation of all statutory fund policies
• You will maintain and monitor the Fund Risk Register
• You will formulate, secure approval for, and manage the dedicated, ring-fenced Pension Fund budget
