Allen Lane is supporting a leading London local authority in the appointment of an experienced interim Head of Procurement to lead and transform its procurement function.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, Procurement and Audit, you will provide strategic leadership across a team of up to 22 procurement and commercial professionals, overseeing approximately £450m of annual third-party spend.
This is a high-profile role with responsibility for driving procurement transformation, commercial excellence, savings and service improvement across the organisation. You will work closely with senior officers, elected members and key stakeholders, providing strategic procurement and commercial advice while strengthening governance, contract management and procurement performance.
We are looking for an experienced procurement leader with a strong track record of leading complex procurement functions, delivering transformation and commercial savings, managing high-performing teams and influencing senior stakeholders. Local government experience is highly advantageous.
