Summary: The Interim Head of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function for a high-growth, private equity-backed professional services group in London/South East. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while managing multiple high-impact projects. The position requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with the CFO and executive team to support decision-making and value creation initiatives. The role is expected to last for 12 months with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FP&A function, driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across the group
  • Build and deliver a PE quality board pack
  • Partner with the CFO and wider exec team to deliver insightful, board-level analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Design and deliver financial models and scenario planning tools to support M&A, pricing, and investment cases
  • Drive multiple concurrent projects, including operating model development, KPI/dashboard standardisation, business unit performance reviews, margin improvement analysis, and PE reporting enhancements
  • Own the development and refinement of group-wide planning cycles
  • Prepare high-quality outputs for private equity investors and the board

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as Head of FP&A or Senior FP&A Lead in a PE-backed, fast-paced services environment
  • Comfortable managing and prioritising multiple high-value projects at once

Salary (Rate): £800 daily

The Business: We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed professional services group with revenues approaching £220m and ambitious plans to scale further both organically and via acquisition. This is a dynamic, complex environment that requires best-in-class financial planning and analysis capability to support strategic decision-making, commercial insight, and value creation initiatives. With a strong leadership team and clear transformation agenda, the business is now looking for an Interim Head of FP&A to lead a number of high-impact, concurrent projects at a group level.

The Role: Working alongside the CFO, you’ll lead the group’s FP&A function through a critical phase of growth and change. This is a hands-on, commercially oriented role that blends strategic planning with tactical delivery and requires someone confident managing multiple workstreams at pace.
