Summary: Leading SME business in Scotland is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to support the organization for a period of 3-6 months. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, managing the external audit process, and driving finance process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in senior finance roles and strong interpersonal skills. Immediate availability is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support finance leadership by taking ownership of core financial and management reporting
• Oversee annual external audit process, acting as key liaison and relationship with external parties
• Take key role in ongoing finance process review and improvement activity, with support of the team
• Other ad-hoc projects as required, e.g., financial controls agenda

Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Prior and recent tenure operating as a Senior Finance Professional in a complex business
• Experience of leading external audits and relationship with Auditors
• Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills
• Ability to be hands-on as required
