Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budget negotiations, maintain budgetary control, and ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Take charge of the planning, development, design, organization, and monitoring of finance, technology, and premises functions.
  • Manage Trust finance staff and establish commercial links with businesses to generate educational benefits for students.
  • Conduct research and make strategic development recommendations for the Trust.
  • Attend Senior Leadership and Trust meetings as required, influencing strategic decision-making within the organization’s Leadership Team.
  • Ensure optimal resource use through effective planning and financial management.
  • Prepare a balanced budget annually and develop a long-term financial strategy in consultation with the CEO.
  • Monitor financial performance against the budget, addressing variances and communicating them to the CEO.
  • Maintain and manage financial systems in accordance with policies, ensuring accurate financial records are kept.
  • Act as the key contact for internal and external auditors and manage financial controls within the organization.

Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting a successful education partner seeking a interim Head of Finance for the next 9 -12 months. The successful candidate will need to be readily available to start in the coming weeks, and be able to commit to the assignment, The Head of Finance will manage the day to day finance function, whilst partnering with senior management from a commercial, operational and strategic perspective.
