Summary: JSS is seeking an Interim Head of Finance for a privately owned group in Milton Keynes for an initial 6-month period. The role involves leading a small finance team and managing the day-to-day finance operations while supporting strategic decision-making during a period of growth and transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, cash flow management, and process improvements within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of monthly management accounts, group consolidation, and financial reporting for all trading entities.
- Oversee and improve balance sheet control, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury, and working capital reporting across the group.
- Act as a true business partner to the Group MD and divisional leaders, providing insight on performance, margins, and key trends.
- Own all reconciliation processes, including intercompany reconciliations across the group, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support the budgeting, reforecasting, and longer-term planning processes.
- Lead and mentor the team across transactional finance, reporting, and analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy across the finance function.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong grounding in both technical and commercial finance.
- Immediately available or on short notice.
- Previous experience leading and mentoring a small to medium sized finance team.
- Comfortable being based on site 5 days per week in a hands-on, visible finance leadership position.
Salary (Rate): £500 daily
