Summary: The Interim Head of Finance role is a critical leadership position within a Multi-Academy Trust in East London/Essex, focusing on ensuring financial stability and supporting educational objectives. The role requires close collaboration with the CEO and school leadership teams over a 12-month assignment. The successful candidate will lead budget negotiations, manage the finance team, and establish commercial partnerships. Immediate availability is preferred for this full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on budget negotiations, budgetary control, and compliance across the Trust.
  • Drive the planning, development, and monitoring of finance, technology, and premises functions.
  • Manage and develop the Trust's finance team, ensuring high standards and efficiency.
  • Establish commercial partnerships that deliver educational benefits for students.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to support the Trust's long-term development.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, literacy, and numeracy at all times.

Key Skills:

  • CCAB Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
  • Previous experience in a school or Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) environment.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Immediate availability or short notice period.

Salary (Rate): £350.00 Daily

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join a small Multi-Academy Trust in the East London/Essex area. This is a critical leadership role, working closely with the CEO and school leadership teams to ensure financial stability and support the Trust in achieving its educational objectives.
