Summary: The Interim Head of Finance role is a six-month position based in North Wales, focusing on supporting the Managing Director and overseeing core accounting functions within a multi-site SME services business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee core accounting functions including accounts payable, month-end close, audit preparation activities, and FP&A.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team.
  • Streamline existing reporting and controls.
  • Outsource the payroll process to a third party.
  • Implement a new ERP system.
  • Provide strategic support for external contract negotiations.

Key Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience at FC/Head of Finance level within SMEs.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and streamlining reporting and controls.
  • Immediate availability or short notice to start.

Salary (Rate): £475.00 Daily

Interim Head of Finance Job, North Wales, 6 months, Hybrid Working

Your new company
Multi-site SME services business in the North Wales region currently undergoing a period of change and transformation. This job will play a significant role in supporting the Managing Director, finance and wider central functions along this exciting journey for the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the MD and managing and developing a small team, you'll oversee the core accounting functions including accounts payable, month-end close, audit preparation activities and FP&A. You'll streamline existing reporting and controls and take responsibility for outsourcing the payroll process to a third party. Other duties will include implementation of the new ERP system, and providing strategic support for external contract negotiations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant who has previously operated at FC/Head of finance level within SME's.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and streamlining reporting and controls
  • Available to start immediately, or at short notice
