Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee core accounting functions including accounts payable, month-end close, audit preparation activities, and FP&A.
- Manage and develop a small finance team.
- Streamline existing reporting and controls.
- Outsource the payroll process to a third party.
- Implement a new ERP system.
- Provide strategic support for external contract negotiations.
Key Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience at FC/Head of Finance level within SMEs.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and streamlining reporting and controls.
- Immediate availability or short notice to start.
Salary (Rate): £475.00 Daily

Multi-site SME services business in the North Wales region currently undergoing a period of change and transformation. This job will play a significant role in supporting the Managing Director, finance and wider central functions along this exciting journey for the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the MD and managing and developing a small team, you'll oversee the core accounting functions including accounts payable, month-end close, audit preparation activities and FP&A. You'll streamline existing reporting and controls and take responsibility for outsourcing the payroll process to a third party. Other duties will include implementation of the new ERP system, and providing strategic support for external contract negotiations.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant who has previously operated at FC/Head of finance level within SME's.
- Track record of driving process improvements and streamlining reporting and controls
- Available to start immediately, or at short notice
- Initial 6-month contract, hybrid working, with the potential for an extension or for the job to turn permanent.
