Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a hands-on operator, stepping in where needed to maintain service quality.
  • Support and guide managers to embed improved standards and practices.
  • Direct daily operational oversight across multiple services.
  • Lead delivery of the existing transformation plan in partnership with Regional Managers.
  • Consult with teams to ensure buy-in and smooth implementation.
  • Drive measurable improvements in occupancy, service performance, and financial efficiency.
  • Manage restructure processes.
  • Ensure the workforce is supported and aligned with new ways of working.
  • Provide regular progress updates with risks and mitigations.
  • Prepare executive-level summaries.
  • Work closely with leadership to maintain alignment on priorities.

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Operations to lead and deliver a significant operational transformation across a portfolio of elderly care services. The role covers a number of elderly residential and nursing homes, with a focus on stabilising performance, improving occupancy, and ensuring delivery of a fully costed transformation plan already in place.

Key Objectives:

  • Execute and implement a pre-approved, fully costed transformation action plan.
  • Improve performance across occupancy, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
  • Provide strong, visible operational leadership across the portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with the Regional Managers to drive delivery.
  • Lead organisational change, including restructure processes.
