Summary: The Interim Group Financial Controller role involves overseeing financial deliverables, treasury management, and the preparation of consolidated management accounts for a well-established client. This interim position, lasting 3-6 months with potential for permanence, requires a fully qualified accountant to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and audits. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial deliverables to the group and Board of Directors.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly treasury operations, including cashflow forecasting.
  • Prepare and review Group Consolidated Management Accounts monthly for external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review quarterly Group VAT Returns and submit to HMRC.
  • Calculate and submit corporation tax quarterly instalment payments.
  • Lead the year-end audit process, including dealership and tax pack reviews.
  • Prepare year-end consolidation and statutory accounts.
  • Maintain the group contracts, compliance, and lease registers.
  • Perform Bank Administrator duties in line with company policy.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects from the Group Finance Director or CFO.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and management accounting.
  • Proficiency in treasury management and cashflow forecasting.
  • Experience with VAT and corporation tax compliance.
  • Ability to lead audits and prepare statutory accounts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
