The Role
Lead and oversee global accounting operations, including Group Financial Control, regional financial controllers and international finance teams.
Take responsibility for Group reporting, statutory compliance and the year-end audit process.
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting across multiple international jurisdictions, including Dutch GAAP requirements.
Lead and support ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including the transition of accounting activities to an overseas shared service operation.
Strengthen financial controls, governance, reporting processes and operational efficiency.
Provide hands-on leadership, maintaining business continuity and supporting senior stakeholders through organisational change.
Manage and develop geographically dispersed teams, working across multiple international time zones.
The Candidate
We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Interim Group Financial Controllers, Heads of Accounting, Group Finance Directors or senior technical finance leaders who can demonstrate:
A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
Significant experience leading international accounting and financial control functions.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, proficient in IFRS.
A proven track record of delivering Group audits and complex statutory reporting.
The ability to lead established teams while remaining sufficiently hands-on to resolve issues personally.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to operate at senior executive level.
Experience gained within a complex, international or multi-entity organisation would be particularly relevant.
The Opportunity
This is an urgent interim requirement offering the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial international accounting function during an important period of transition.
The successful candidate will need to be available at short notice, comfortable with a hybrid working arrangement involving travel to Yorkshire/Lincolnshire, and flexible when working with international teams.
