Summary: This role is for an Interim Group Financial Controller/Finance Director who will support a CFO in addressing critical financial challenges post-acquisition. The position involves taking ownership of a malfunctioning ERP system and managing complex accounting tasks related to acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in finance leadership roles, particularly in high-pressure environments. This is a contract position requiring a hands-on approach and strong ERP expertise, specifically with D365 implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver a working ERP system, specifically addressing issues with D365 implementations.
- Manage post-acquisition accounting and completion accounting tasks.
- Provide leadership and hands-on support in a pressured environment.

Key Skills:

- ACA qualification preferred but all qualifications considered.

Do you like fixing finance functions in MASSIVELY PRESSURED, difficult environments? This will only suit a small pool of people. But is it a fantastic opportunity to support a CFO as they drive a business forwards post-acquisition. There are two major problems they need your help with: An ERP system that doesn’t work. You’ll own this project and deliver a working ERP system. You’ll have support, but you need to know how to take over an ERP and fix it. Post-acquisition accounting and completion accounting. This will be a real challenge so you need to know what you’re doing here. What do they need? Experienced Group FC/FD type. You must have been there and done it. This is not someone stepping into this role. Ideally an ACA but all qualifications considered Strong ERP fixing experience, specifically D365 implementations Ideally strong experience in private equity backed business, or able to demonstrate fast, accurate delivery in pressured situations Strong acquisition experience, specifically acquisition accounting, post deal due diligence, and completion This requires someone with the gravitas of a leader but the hands on nature of a forensic accountant 2-3 days in the London office. The role is initially a 5-6 month contract with an urgent start. Day rate based on experience but something in the £700-800/day range. Outside IR35.
