Summary: Zanda is seeking an Interim Fractional Head of Finance for a rapidly growing clean energy business that is expanding across Europe. This role involves establishing and leading the finance function, with significant autonomy and direct involvement in strategic decision-making and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have experience in building finance capabilities in a multi-entity, international context. This position is part-time, requiring three days a week commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own monthly management reporting, forecasting, and statutory accounts.
- Support budgeting, planning, and financial analysis activities.
- Review and explain variances against forecasts and business plans.
- Manage banking and cash flow across multiple entities.
- Support the setup and ongoing management of new entities and SPVs.
- Establish scalable accounting processes and controls.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants and advisors.
- Develop financial models to support growth initiatives and investment decisions.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams across geographies.
- Support current and future fundraising activity.
- Implement and improve finance systems and tools.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience building or significantly improving a finance function in a growing business.
- Strong understanding of capital-intensive or asset-backed business models.
- Comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Interest in working closely with leadership on growth and fundraising.

The company operates in the infrastructure and mobility space, supporting the transition to lower-carbon solutions through a combination of physical assets and technology-enabled services. Following a period of early traction, the business is entering a new phase of growth and is seeking a Head of Finance to establish and lead the finance function. This role offers significant autonomy and visibility, with direct involvement in strategic decision-making and future fundraising.
This is a broad, hands-on Head of Finance position responsible for building finance capability in a multi-entity, international business.
Financial Control & Reporting
