Summary: The Interim FP&A Lead role at a DeepTech manufacturing scaleup in North London involves leading financial planning and analysis efforts, particularly in inventory forecasting and cash flow projections. The position requires advanced financial modeling skills and a background in investment banking, management consultancy, or corporate finance. The role is a 3-month assignment with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home. The position offers a competitive daily rate outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, demand-driven inventory forecasting model.
- Ensure procurement needs are accurately projected with a clear and auditable methodology.
- Build a detailed and auditable direct twelve months cash flow projection incorporating inventory demand outputs.
- Design and maintain models to track standard costing through the manufacturing process.
- Identify, explain, and report on variances to support cost control and efficiency initiatives.
- Build an integrated three-statement financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) segmented by function and project, to support forecasting and budgeting.
- Reconcile direct and indirect cash flows.
Key Skills:
- Investment banking / management consultancy / corporate finance advisory experience.
- Manufacturing / supply chain experience (can be from client side).
- Strategic and inquisitive thinker.
