Summary: The role of Interim FP&A Consultant involves supporting the finance leadership team of a listed international business for an initial six-month assignment. This senior position requires driving financial insight and performance analysis while aiding strategic decision-making closely aligned with the CFO. The consultant will be responsible for consolidating financial data, analyzing complex datasets, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. The role also includes enhancing reporting models and advising on business performance across international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the gathering and consolidation of financial and operational data from multiple business units and systems.
- Analyse complex, multi-entity, multi-currency datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, and strategic opportunities.
- Translate data into actionable insights and a compelling narrative for senior leadership and the Board.
- Partner with the finance leadership team on group forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Advise senior stakeholders on business performance across international operations, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Enhance and build robust reporting models, financial dashboards, and analysis tools to support decision-making.
- Provide ad hoc financial and strategic analysis to support growth initiatives and key projects.
Key Skills:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience in international organisations with multi-entity and multi-currency operations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large, complex datasets.
- Strong commercial acumen, able to translate financial data into clear business insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and proven financial modelling capability.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in high-growth environments and supporting strategic decision-making at a senior level.
