Summary: The FP&A Accountant role in South Manchester is a pivotal position within a high-performing finance team, focusing on delivering accurate divisional accounts and supporting senior finance stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the month-end process, posting journals and validating financial results.
  • Present management accounts to senior finance leaders within agreed deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation and standardisation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple divisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Key Skills:

  • (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong general ledger experience.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, ambitious and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Strong Excel capability and ideally experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

FP&A Accountant – South Manchester £53,000 | 18-Month FTC Hybrid Policy

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven FP&A Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a major UK group. This role offers broad exposure across a complex, fast-paced division and the chance to make a real impact through high-quality reporting, strong financial control and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, robust divisional accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting senior finance stakeholders. Working closely with Finance Directors, Business Partners and the wider FP&A team, you’ll help the business understand performance, meet service levels and deliver insightful reporting.
