Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop an engineering and fleet team
- Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and maintenance regulations
- Oversee fleet performance, availability and utilisation
- Manage budgets, supplier relationships and third-party contracts
- Drive continuous improvement across maintenance systems and procedures
- Lead audits, compliance reviews and regulatory inspections
- Oversee procurement of vehicles, trailers and associated services
- Investigate incidents, defects and compliance issues
Key Skills:
- National CPC qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and regulatory compliance

The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing a large, nationally operating fleet within a 24/7 environment. The successful candidate will take full accountability for fleet compliance, engineering standards, operational performance and cost control across multiple locations.
You will lead and develop a team of engineering and fleet professionals, ensuring all legal, safety and regulatory standards are met, while driving continuous improvement across maintenance processes and vehicle utilisation.
