Summary: The Interim Financial Control Manager role focuses on transforming financial processes within an organization, requiring a qualified accountant with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. The position involves driving process improvements, managing financial data, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is based in Central Bristol and requires a mix of on-site and remote work. The contract is expected to last between 6 to 9 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive process improvement through automation and optimization of manual tasks related to financial data handling.
- Contribute to the design of improvements in financial data, processes, controls, and systems for better analysis and decision-making.
- Support the financial control team with accounting, budgeting, invoicing, compliance, and reporting tasks.
- Ensure financial integrity by implementing complex processes and policy changes.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proven experience in transforming financial processes, particularly in financial reporting and forecasting.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and possess a self-starter attitude.
- Background in Financial Controls, Compliance & Risk, Financial Data, Processes and Systems, Management Reporting, and Financial Accounting.
