Summary: The role of Interim Financial Controller/Project Accountant involves providing essential financial support to a private equity-backed manufacturing business for a duration of 6 months, starting in May 2025. The position requires collaboration with the CEO and outsourced bookkeeper, alongside responsibilities such as budget preparation and management accounts updates. The candidate will also be responsible for presenting financial data to shareholders and managing a KPI dashboard. Regular presence in the Bath, Bristol, and London offices is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organise the budget for FY 2026.
- Address and update Management Accounts which are behind from March/April.
- Extract and present financial data for shareholders and the board.
- Set up and manage a KPI dashboard to measure outputs.
- Collaborate effectively with the outsourced bookkeeper.
- Attend board meetings in London occasionally with the CEO.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role within an SME (30–35 employees, £8 million turnover).
- Proficient in using Sage 200.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexible and able to work remotely, with a requirement to be in the office in London and Bristol.
