Summary: The Interim Financial Controller role is a 3–6 month fixed-term contract based in Lincolnshire, aimed at supporting a manufacturing business during a transitional period. The position requires a qualified accountant to lead technical accounting, year-end processes, and statutory compliance while managing a team. The role emphasizes maintaining financial integrity and governance within the organization. Immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the year-end process, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
- Take ownership of technical accounting, statutory accounts, and VAT
- Oversee financial controls, ensuring strong governance and compliance
- Manage and support a team of 8–10 (including 3 direct reports)
- Report into the CFO and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role
- Strong background in a manufacturing environment
- Skilled in technical reporting, compliance, and year-end delivery
- Confident managing teams and embedding strong financial controls
