Summary: The Interim Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing management and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. This role involves preparing business plans, analyzing strategic transactions, and implementing financial controls. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with project-based finance teams to enhance reporting frameworks and drive business accountability. The role also focuses on revenue forecasts and identifying savings opportunities while fostering team morale aligned with organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage management and statutory reporting to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness of financial and non-financial reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcomes
- Ownership of preparation and management of the business plans including setting business KPIs, monthly and quarterly review process and reporting and driving business accountability to achieve outcomes
- Advisory role in analysing strategic transaction and impact on the financial returns and accounting of the projects and portfolio
- Implement and manage robust financial controls to ensure integrity of all financial systems, processes and outputs
- Work with and coordinate the project-based finance teams to simplify internal reporting frameworks and contribute to the design and development of analysis-based management reporting systems, ensuring continuous improvements from a business intelligence perspective
- Manage ongoing analysis of revenue forecasts, cost structures and overhead base and challenge robustness of forecasts. Identify and drive areas of savings and potential revenue sources for the business
- Create strong morale and team spirit by providing meaningful work clearly connected to organisational strategy. Share both responsibility and accountability where appropriate
