Summary: The Interim Financial Controller will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a fast-growing SaaS business in Central London. This position involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while collaborating with senior leadership to drive financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the SaaS industry and a strong background in financial management. The role offers a salary of up to £70,000 per annum with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the business.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial objectives.
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and other regulatory filings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide insight and analysis on key financial data to support business decision-making, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and growth.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring that cash levels are monitored and aligned with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.

Key Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 6+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE).
  • Experience managing multi-currency and multi-entity financial structures is required.
  • Strong experience within the SaaS industry, ideally having worked in a high-growth, technology-focused business.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Payhawk, Navan, Pleo, and advanced Excel.
  • Previous experience working with financial tools and platforms to streamline processes and enhance reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and controls.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
